Terms of Use

Updated 22 Oct 2026

1. Personal use

Giữ Lửa helps you keep memories and remember important dates for loved ones who have passed. You use it for personal, non-commercial purposes.

2. Your content is yours

Letters, photos, voice notes and everything you enter belong to you. We store and process them only so the app works, as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Procedure information is a guide only

The procedures list, deadlines and support amounts in the app are compiled from public sources and may change. This is not legal advice. Confirm with your local ward or commune office or the relevant authority before acting.

4. Lunar calendar and anniversaries

Lunar dates are computed by an algorithm. For a passing after 11 pm, the app keeps the calendar day by default and lets the family choose the next day instead. Some families count differently, so please double-check important dates.

5. Prayers (văn khấn)

The prayer texts are compiled from widely used traditional văn khấn books; the short versions are Giữ Lửa's own abridgements. Customs differ by region, family and religion, so they are a reference, not a required rite. Where they differ, follow your family's way.

6. Obituaries and invitations

Giữ Lửa helps draft obituaries and invitations in the usual layout. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details (age, times, funeral schedule, family names) and for your family's agreement before you make them public. Ages are counted the traditional way and may differ from official documents.

7. Public share pages

When you create a share page on giulua.app, publish only what your family agrees to make public, and nothing unlawful, offensive or infringing on others' rights. We may take down pages reported as abusive. Report them to giulua.app@gmail.com.

8. Backups

We work to keep backups safe but cannot guarantee them absolutely. Export what matters most to you.

9. Premium

Premium is a one-time purchase that unlocks cloud backup, starting a shared altar and the features listed in the app. The price is shown before you buy, and payment goes through the App Store or Google Play. Relatives you invite to a shared altar don't need to buy it.

10. Ending use

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time in Settings.

11. Limitation of liability

The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from its use.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam.
